Do You Live Consciously in This Ever Changing World?
A life lived of choice is a life of conscious action. A life lived of chance is a life of unconscious creation. -Neale Donald Walsch
Do you consciously live in this ever changing world?
A life lived of choice is a life of conscious action. A life lived of chance is a life of unconscious creation.-Neale Donald Walsch
I try as much as I can to be conscious of what is going on in the world by continuously learning, asking questions and being open minded that anything is possible. I know it is not easy always to be aware because there are so many things happening around us. Unfortunately, the things that we are not paying attention to are indeed the things that are changing our world into a world that we don’t recognize. Certain people are continuously making decisions for us that are affecting our lives and our future generations. We all need to really start paying attention and wake up to what is going on and realize that voicing our opinion can make all the difference in the world.
I know the reason a lot of us are not living consciously is because we are all so busy just worrying about how we are going to get everything done that “has” to be done and that paying attention to anything else is just too much. Do you ever look at the clock and say to yourself, “where did the day go and what did I even accomplish today?” Then, the next day begins and you have to start all over again. Don’t feel alone, this happens to all of us. We are all in the vicious cycle called life. We are so worried about what we need to do next we don’t realize that life is just passing us by.
There too many choices to make in life that it can become overwhelming. I mean, seriously, why are there 50 different types of toothpaste out there? Life is full of choices and sometimes you just don’t care anymore. As hard as it might be, try taking a moment and realize that every decision you make does have a direct impact on your life, even down to the toothpaste. It is definitely not an easy task to live consciously, that is for sure, but it is more important than you realize! Trust me, every time I think I have it figured out I learn that I am just beginning to embark on my journey.
Life is so much more than checking things off of your list. It’s about realizing that there is so much more to life than what is going on in “our” little world. Pay attention, then breathe and enjoy life. Put the brakes on and live in the moment. I truly believe if we all live consciously and are aware of everything around us and support one another, we will live in a much more peaceful world.
I am asking each one of you to look in the mirror, wake up and realize that your voice matters. Ask yourself the following questions to see if you are living consciously:
1. What do you do throughout the day? Are you productive?
2. Do you take time to breathe and be in the moment? Should you put something in here from Eckhert Tolle?
2. Do you take time for yourself? Being by yourself or doing things for yourself is extremely important. I know some of us feel guilty but this is what will rejuvenate us. Mediate, love, exercise, eat healthy, … If you don’t, no one else will do it for you and without doing these things you will have a harder time being the best you for others.
3. Do you absolutely love your life or are there parts of your life where you know you are just settling? Or maybe you think, well, tomorrow will be better and maybe it will, but what are you doing differently today that you know for sure will make tomorrow different?
4. What type of food are you putting into your body? Is it even really considered food or does it just look like food? Do you just trust when people tell you something is healthy or do you research to absolutely know for sure that you are providing you and your family the most nutrient dense foods?
5. What type of music, television and movies are you listening to and watching? Is it what our music/movie/television industry calls quality? What types of words do they use? Are the words playful and fun with good energy, or is the energy driving, hateful or sad? Words are extremely influential on your subconscious, your brain retains everything it hears, so what you listen to will have an impact on how you may perceive things.
6. Where do you work? Are you going there just to pay the bills or are you truly enjoying what you do for a living? Be creative and think outside the box when looking for your perfect career. Next, believe in yourself and know not only you will get it, but you will be successful in your venture.
7. Are you taking responsibility for your life or do you blame others for what didn’t go as planned? You are in control of you and you can choose whatever destiny you desire.
8. Do you find that there are not enough hours in the day? We all feel this way, so don’t feel alone. Although it is good that we all want to succeed, it also can be detrimental to our health. Take a breath and just be proud of yourself that you accomplished as much as you did. You are only one person and remember tomorrow is another day.
9. Do you not have enough time to spend time with your loved ones?
Because we all work so hard trying to provide, we forget that the most important thing in life is not “things” it is the “people” you love. Without that we are all nothing. We all need love and to know that we can count on each other. Take a step back and reevaluate whether you are doing everything you can, to spend as much time as possible with your loved ones.
10. Are you being the best “you” you can be? And I don’t mean better than the next person, being the most successful or looking better or thinner. I mean, do you try everyday to love unconditionally, be patient when times are hard, forgiving when you don’t feel like it and positive when you don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel? Life will throw you curve balls, trust me I know, but those are the times when you need to try even harder to be the best you can. These circumstances are giving you a test to see if you will win…so show them that you will!
11. Do you follow the crowd? The model in the magazine is so beautiful and thin, and is wearing an awesome outfit, so that means I have to also. The “news” says this is true, it must be. The doctor said “it” is good for me, than I guess that it is. I want you to ask yourself if you are making the decisions for yourself or are you letting someone else determine your future. This is such an important topic to think about. We are all faced with so many decisions that it is easier to just listen to someone else because they “know” better. I mean, of course they do, hey they are famous, or smarter than me, right? Wrong. Look within you and value your opinion, it matters more than you think.
12. Do you go the extra mile? Do you try to make a difference in the world? Do you speak up and spread the word about important issues? Do you sign petitions? Do you help others in need? All of these things matter.
As much as it’s scary being so small in this huge complicated world, it is also exciting. I know that every day I have a choice to be exactly who I want to be and so can you. I mean how much better can that be? You get to write your own story. You can decide who you are and what you will be, you can also decide who the characters are and what significance they will play in your life, and most importantly, you get to decide the outcome of the story. “The best part of our story is that you do not need to keep suffering.
Once you understand the hidden design of the universe, you can begin mastering your experiences and immediately improve your quality of life.” David Wilcock, The Synchronicity Key
Now you are probably asking yourself, well, how would you do this? I want you to think about the following things every time there are choices to be made:
• Ask a lot of questions, that’s how you will learn. • Find balance and don’t think you have to do it all. • Don’t just take no for an answer. See if there is another solution or someone else you can talk to that will get you the answer you need. • Explore what life has to offer, don’t settle. • Be open-minded. • Think outside the box, or better yet, get rid of the box • Don’t follow the crowd and conform to what the masses think you should be doing. • Be yourself. • Believe in yourself. • Follow your dreams. • Know that you have a beautiful purpose in your life, and go for it!
